The open dial brings the movement into view. Brushed and polished surfaces give the case definition, while the green and blue dial surrounds add colour to the steel.

Ascanbe J1: the movement

The movement

The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré powers the J1. An anthracite ruthenium finish gives the movement its distinctive dark grey appearance, visible through the open dial. Powered by the movement of your wrist.

Atelier Ascanbe

One of One.

Ascanbe began with watches made on request. Atelier Ascanbe continues that approach. Each watch starts with a conversation and takes shape around your ideas, with a design created for you alone.

As Can Be

The thought behind the name

Ascanbe comes from ‘As Can Be’. A simple thought: keep asking how something can be better. Its proportions. Its finish. The way it feels on the wrist. That approach began with individual watches and continues with the J1.
